Saint-Martin Church in Ury will host The Passage on 19–20 September 2026, as part of the European Heritage Days.

A contemplative journey through architecture, memory and perception.

Why present it in a church?

The Passage was not conceived as a religious work. It draws inspiration in particular from Japanese torii, which symbolically mark the transition between the secular and the sacred. Within the setting of Saint-Martin Church, however, this idea finds a particularly meaningful resonance.

The perspectives, thresholds and gradual transformations that shape the images enter into dialogue with the architecture of the building. Silence, light and the contemplative atmosphere invite visitors to slow down and experience the space in a more introspective way.

Presented during the European Heritage Days, the installation creates a meeting point between historical heritage and contemporary creation. It encourages each visitor to move through the space differently and to build a personal interpretation of the experience.

The Passage does not provide answers. It offers a path. Each visitor is invited to experience it in their own way.

I create installations that invite the viewer to move through a space—whether physical or mental—until familiar points of reference gradually dissolve and the visitor becomes part of the experience itself.
