Call me back

Call Me Back is a digital art series that reimagines the iconic British red phone box.
Through repetitive and almost obsessive staging, Laurie CARTOON turns this forgotten object into a symbol of silence, waiting, and memory.
Lined up like sculptures in public space, the phone booths become relics of a communication now fading into silence.

This series continues the artist’s exploration of urban solitude, introduced in Each in Their Own Place, where architecture mirrored human isolation.
Here, it is not the home, but urban furniture that bears witness to an absent presence.

The series also echoes the history of the iconic red booths designed by Sir Giles Gilbert Scott, once omnipresent, now mostly obsolete—but still charged with memory.
